Designed for your property
Every system starts with a survey. We look at your roof or ground space, which way it faces, shading, your current electricity use and your electrical supply, then design a system sized to give you the best return rather than the biggest number of panels.
- Roof-mounted and ground-mounted solar panels
- Battery storage, including adding a battery to an existing system
- Inverter replacement and system upgrades
- Systems for homes, businesses and farms
- Servicing, fault finding and performance checks
Battery storage
Panels generate most during the day, when many households are out. A battery stores surplus energy so you can use it in the evening. Batteries can also charge on cheaper off-peak tariffs. We'll tell you honestly whether a battery makes sense for how you use energy.
Grid connection and paperwork
We handle notification to your local network operator and give you full commissioning and test documentation. To earn payments for exported electricity under the Smart Export Guarantee, energy suppliers normally require the installation to be MCS certified, so ask us about this when you request a quote.
Common questions
Do I need planning permission for solar panels?
Most roof-mounted panels on houses fall under permitted development and don't need planning permission. Listed buildings, conservation areas and some ground-mounted systems are exceptions. We'll check for your property.
Do solar panels work in cloudy weather?
Yes, although they produce less. Panels generate from daylight, not just direct sun, and East Anglia is one of the sunnier parts of the UK.
Can I add a battery to my existing panels?
In most cases, yes. We'll check your existing inverter and system and recommend a compatible battery.
Do solar panels need maintenance?
Very little, but an occasional check of the inverter, connections and performance catches problems early. We service systems we've installed and those fitted by others.
