Electrical work for your home

Most of our domestic jobs are the everyday things that make a home work better: more sockets where you actually need them, better lighting, a safer fuse board or wiring for a new kitchen. Whatever the size of the job, you get the same careful approach and a clear price before we start.

  • Extra sockets, switches and light fittings
  • Consumer unit (fuse board) upgrades with RCD protection
  • Kitchen, bathroom and extension wiring
  • Indoor, garden and security lighting
  • Electric showers, cookers and hob circuits
  • Outdoor sockets and supplies to garages and garden rooms
  • Fault finding, tripping circuits and repairs

Certified and notified properly

Some electrical work in homes in England and Wales is notifiable under Part P of the Building Regulations, such as a new circuit, a consumer unit replacement or work in a bathroom. We test every installation and give you the correct Electrical Installation Certificate or Minor Works Certificate, and make sure notifiable work is registered so you have the paperwork when you come to sell or insure your home.

Working in your home

We know you're living in the house while we work. We protect floors and furniture, keep the power off for as little time as possible, and clear up at the end of each day. If the work involves chasing walls, we'll explain exactly where and agree it with you first.

Common questions

Do you charge for quotes?

No. Quotes are free and there's no obligation. For anything more than a small job we'll visit to look at it properly, so the price you get is the price you pay.

Will I get a certificate for the work?

Yes. Every job is tested on completion and you receive the appropriate certificate. Notifiable work is also registered with building control, so it's recorded against your property.

Can you add sockets without damaging my decoration?

Often, yes. Depending on the walls and floors, we can sometimes run cables under floors or through voids to keep making good to a minimum. We'll talk you through the options when we visit.

Do you work for landlords?

Yes. We carry out repairs, upgrades and the five-yearly EICRs landlords need for rented properties in England.
