Home EV chargers
A home charger is faster and safer than a three-pin plug and lets you charge on cheaper overnight tariffs. Before fitting, we check your supply and consumer unit can take the extra load, and advise if anything needs upgrading.
- Tethered and untethered smart chargers
- Supply and load checks before installation
- Load management so your main fuse isn't overloaded
- Integration with solar PV to charge from your own energy
Workplace and fleet charging
We install multiple charge points for businesses, car parks and fleets, including load balancing so several cars can charge without upgrading your supply unnecessarily.
Compliance and paperwork
Charge points installed in Great Britain must meet the Smart Charge Points Regulations. We fit compliant smart chargers, notify your network operator where required, and give you an Electrical Installation Certificate on completion.
Common questions
How long does a home charger installation take?
Most straightforward home installations are completed in around half a day. Longer cable runs or a consumer unit upgrade can add time; we'll tell you in advance.
Do I need off-street parking?
Generally, yes. You need a driveway or private parking space next to the property, because cables must not trail across public pavements.
Can my charger use my solar panels?
Yes. Many smart chargers can prioritise surplus solar generation, so you charge your car from your own electricity.
